Growing up in Greater London but spending most of my time commuting to the city centre for school and to see friends has given me a unique and interesting experience of London.
The London underground is my home, tell me where you need to go and I can tell you what interchanges you need to make without ever needing to look at the map. That confidence that you gain navigating a city so busy and chaotic as London takes years of practice. I both hate and love London. I love it because there's always so much to do so you can never be bored, but in the same way there is often too much to do and it can get overwhelming. Moving away from London to the most contrasting place you could ever imagine has really made me appreciate living in a city that much more, and I know I'm so lucky to have grown up there.
